Voice picking productivity improvements
Voice picking operates on a very similar process flow to RF terminal based picking. Productivity improvements are derived from the more natural way pickers interact with the voice system compared to other methods.
For example, compare the following chart, which provides a visual representation of the timing of an RF directed picking task:
With the same chart representing the same pick directed by voice:
The stages coloured red are no longer required in the voice transaction and this time saving is where the productivity improvements of voice picking are achieved.
In addition, if an operation is working from paper then removing the manual paper trail and the administration around paper based picking will play a big part in delivering productivity improvements.
